Introduction

I am a business and technology major, I was interested in taking Drawing 1 to add something different to my business oriented schedule.  I hope to learn how to make my drawings look more realistic and less labored.  I hope that my drawing skills will help clients to visualize potential marketing campaigns.  So far, my favorite part about drawing is having the chance to make something beautiful out of shades of grey and white without relying on colors to bring the beauty.  My favorite artist who draws is Rembrandt. I was introduced to his work through a lecture in class, I like his use of almost scribbly lines to create a person or house and somehow the end product seems neatly done.

This was my first portrait,  I tried to fix the mouth last minute but I couldn't seem to get it right.  I would definitely like to work on portraits more as there is absolutely room for improvement.
