6. Landscape Drawing- Kim Hunter



               I think this is a good example of a landscape drawing in that it has a clear foreground, middle ground and background. I like that the background is just a hint of trees that implies a heavily wooded area without being overwhelmingly crowded with trees.  I also like that the focal tree is sort of leaning and has drooping limbs, this gives the tree a somber personality.  The somber feeling seems to start in the foreground with the branches and as your eyes move back it is then reflected to the main tree.  I think this adds a sense of cohesion to the drawing and a nice balance to the left side of the drawing which seems to have a more upbeat feeling with the ducks and more upright tree on the left.
